What’s New in 2024?

2024 brings with it some new and exciting projects… and a visit to an old favorite.

As more and more theater venues and concert halls open, projects are on the rise. Helen is very excited to be working again with the wonderful director Gil Mehmert in a few theater pieces. The first will be bringing back home “Der Ghetto Swinger” to the Hamburg Kammerspiele. For the first time Helen will be performing in the Stephen Sondheim musical “A Little Night Music” in the role of the courtesan Madame Armfeldt. In June she will travel to Vienna for the final open-air production of “Elisabeth” in front of the famous Palace Schönbrunnen where she will perform the role of the Arch Dutchess Sophie.

This year Helen began a collaboration with the piano player and composer Mathias Christian Kosel. They will perform a concert evening together at the Mare Musik Festival in Cuxhaven this spring.

On screen you can see Helen on television and in movie theaters in 2024. She had the pleasure of joining the Bremen Tatort team for “Driving Home for Christmas” to be aired at the end of this year. The sci-fi thriller she filmed in 2023, “Electric Child”, will appear in movie theaters and festivals at the end of 2024.

Teaching continues to be an important part of Helen’s life and in 2024 she continues her devotion to teaching young performers the art of song interpretation.

Her clothing line – “Uruburu” focusing on Asian inspired designs, will expand its presence this year in clothing shops in Berlin and Hamburg.
